Meet Our Founder
Helen Artis-Armstrong is the Founder and Director of Early Life Learning Center (ELLC). She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Fayetteville State University and a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Currently, Helen is pursuing her Ph.D. in Education and Counseling from Liberty University.
Helen is licensed in Substance Abuse and holds certifications in Group Therapy and Crisis Intervention. She brings a wealth of experience in addictions counseling and group therapy, serving both adult and youth populations. Her extensive background includes working in group therapy settings, substance abuse treatment, and with the CDSA in North Carolina, serving children in Duplin, New Hanover, Sampson and Wayne counties.
Helen is married with 3 adult children and one granddog. Her dedication and expertise are the driving forces behind ELLC's mission to support and empower individuals through comprehensive mental health services.
